Manifesting Abundance: The Journey Within

High in the Andes Mountains, the Quechua people have practiced something called Ayni for over five thousand years. It’s a concept so simple that it almost sounds too easy – the idea that abundance flows through sacred reciprocity. You give with an open heart, the universe responds in kind. No forcing. No grasping. Just flow.

And yet most of us spend our lives doing the exact opposite. We chase abundance like it’s running away from us. We clutch at money, at success, at love – certain that if we loosen our grip for even a moment, it will all disappear.

Here’s what I’ve learned after 25 years of teaching manifestation: abundance isn’t something you catch. It’s something you become.

Once I fully learned that allowing wellbeing was something that I controlled directly and am able to do it from a place of joy and abundance instead of from scarcity, that’s when I realized my power. We are incredibly powerful and can shift everything in our lives.

In this article, I’ll share the framework I use with every client who comes to me feeling stuck around abundance. It works whether you’re manifesting financial freedom, career opportunities, loving relationships, or simply more ease in your daily life. And it starts with understanding something most people get completely backwards.

I. Why Most People Struggle with Abundance

Let me ask you something. When you think about abundance – real, overflowing abundance – what feeling comes up?

If the honest answer is anxiety, doubt, or a tight sensation in your chest, you’re not alone. And that feeling is exactly why abundance has been eluding you.

Here’s the thing most people don’t understand about manifestation: you don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are. Your vibration – your overall emotional frequency – acts like a radio signal, drawing experiences that match your internal state. When you want abundance but feel scarcity, your signal is scrambled. The universe can’t deliver what your energy is actively pushing away.

This is why the Emotional Guidance Scale is such a powerful tool. It shows us exactly where our vibration sits – and helps us understand that moving from fear to anger, or from worry to hope, is actually progress. You don’t have to leap from powerlessness to joy overnight. You just need to move up one notch at a time.

II. The Four Types of Manifestation

Before we go further, I want to introduce you to something that changed everything for my clients: the Four Types of Manifestation. Understanding where you are right now is the first step to creating abundance deliberately.

Unconscious Dark Manifestation

This is where most people live without realizing it. You’re creating from fear, lack, and worry – but you don’t even know you’re doing it. You wonder why bad things keep happening, why money slips through your fingers, why opportunities pass you by. The answer? Your unconscious vibration is broadcasting scarcity, and life is simply reflecting it back.

Conscious Dark Manifestation

Here, you understand the power of your thoughts – but you’re still creating from a low vibration. Maybe you’re using visualization and affirmations, but underneath there’s desperation. You’re trying to manifest from a place of “I need this or I won’t be okay.” The effort exhausts you, and the results feel hollow even when they arrive.

Unconscious Light Manifestation

Sometimes beautiful things flow into your life and you have no idea why. You’re naturally happy that day, or you simply let go of trying so hard – and suddenly everything clicks. This is Unconscious Light. It’s wonderful when it happens, but you can’t replicate it because you don’t know what you did.

Conscious Light Manifestation

This is where we’re headed. Conscious Light Manifestation means deliberately creating from alignment, joy, and high vibration. You understand the mechanics. You know how to shift your emotional state. And most importantly – you’ve learned to embody the feeling of abundance before it arrives in physical form.

If you want to explore these four types in depth – with exercises, journal prompts, and a complete 75-day transformation journey – my book Beyond Wishing walks you through every step. And if you’d like a shorter introduction, our free Conscious Light Manifestation eBook covers the essentials.

In my early career I witnessed dark manifestation in all forms firsthand. I now remember why so many of my achievements on paper felt so empty. It was because I was not enjoying the journey at all, and neither were my peers and leaders at the time. Without the happy journey you cannot have a happy and fulfilling ending. Mastering the happy journey is the most fundamental shift a person can make. This is explained in greater depth in my books. Please find our free resources for more information.

III. The VM Method: Ground, Discover, Embody

So how do we actually shift from Dark to Light manifestation? How do we move from chasing abundance to becoming it?

This is where my three-step method comes in. I call it Ground, Discover, Embody – and it’s the foundation of everything we teach at Vibration Mentor.

Step 1: Ground

Before you can create anything intentionally, you need to arrive in a calm, regulated state. When you’re anxious, scattered, or stressed, your nervous system is in survival mode – and survival mode doesn’t believe in abundance. Grounding might look like conscious breathing, a few minutes of stillness, or simply placing your feet on the floor and taking three deep breaths. The goal is presence. You can’t manifest from the future or the past – only from now.

Step 2: Discover

Here’s the secret most manifestation teachers miss: we don’t actually want the things we think we want. We want the feelings those things will bring.

The house, the money, the relationship – these are just vehicles for emotion. When you say you want financial abundance, what you really want might be freedom, security, or the ability to be generous. In the Discover phase, we get curious about the feeling underneath the desire. What would abundance actually feel like in your body? In your daily life? Name it. Get specific.

Step 3: Embody

This is where the magic happens. Once you’ve identified the feeling you’re truly seeking, you practice feeling it now – before anything in your external world has changed.

I know what you’re thinking. “But Sana, how can I feel abundant when my bank account says otherwise?”

Here’s the truth: you don’t need to feel abundant about money to feel abundant about something. Start where you can. Maybe it’s the abundance of sunshine today. The abundance of love from your pet. The abundance of breath filling your lungs. When you practice the feeling of abundance – anywhere at all – you shift your vibration. And your vibration is what attracts more of the same.

“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”

Before meeting my partner, I remember thinking focused thoughts of appreciation for the most wonderful partner. And before I knew it, someone even more amazing was in my life. I remember my appreciation before it happened was so strong that when it did happen it felt natural and nothing changed except the 3-D reality I was seeing. But my feeling was the same.

IV. Releasing the Blocks to Abundance

Even when you understand the method, sometimes abundance still feels stuck. This usually means there’s a limiting belief running in the background – an old story about money, success, or your own worthiness that’s blocking the flow.

Common abundance blocks include:

  • “Money is the root of all evil”
  • “Rich people are greedy or selfish”
  • “I don’t deserve more than I have”
  • “There’s never enough to go around”
  • “Who am I to want abundance?”

These beliefs often come from childhood, from family patterns, from cultural conditioning. They’re not true – but they feel true, which makes them powerful. The work of recognizing your self-worth and practicing self-kindness helps dissolve these blocks gently over time.

If you’re feeling stuck right now, please know – where you are is perfect. You don’t need to force anything. Can you find a thought that feels just a little bit better? Can you move up just one notch on the Emotional Guidance Scale? That’s all you need. One notch. And then another.

V. Gratitude as the Gateway to Abundance

Remember the Andean concept of Ayni I mentioned at the beginning? The sacred reciprocity where giving and receiving flow as one?

Deep gratitude is our modern doorway to this ancient wisdom. When you appreciate what you already have – genuinely, not as a technique – you signal to the universe that you’re ready for more. Gratitude is the vibration of “I have enough.” And paradoxically, “I have enough” is exactly the frequency that attracts abundance.

This is why gratitude and manifestation are so deeply connected. And it’s why the most abundant people I know aren’t the ones who have the most – they’re the ones who appreciate the most.

Finding joy in small moments, aligning your intentions with how you actually want to feel, building resilience when things don’t unfold as quickly as you’d like – these are all part of the abundance journey. It’s not about perfection. It’s about practice.

I had one client that realized their negative thoughts were keeping them stuck. After a few months of focusing on changing their vibration, they have a new job, they have a new life, and their health dramatically improved. They realized they were in charge of what they got to experience. One of my most favorite phrases she would say that made me giggle was “I deserve a job that adores me”, while that sounds maybe childish, she did manifest just that. She has a boss, team members and even clients that adore her and appreciate her as a human and not just as a worker. She not only said it, but eventually believed it. And so this is now her way of life.

Putting It Into Practice

Understanding abundance intellectually is one thing. Becoming it is another. That’s why I’ve created two practices for you below – one quick shift you can do anytime, and one deeper meditation for when you’re ready to really embody this work.

Dip In: The Abundance Already Here (3 minutes)

This quick practice shifts your vibration instantly by revealing the abundance that already surrounds you.

The Practice:

  1. Pause wherever you are. Take one slow breath.
  2. Look around and name 5 things you have in abundance right now. They don’t need to be big. “I have an abundance of air to breathe. I have an abundance of colors in this room. I have an abundance of thoughts. I have an abundance of heartbeats. I have an abundance of this moment.”
  3. With each one, let yourself actually feel the abundance. Don’t just list them – receive them.
  4. Notice how your body responds. Does your chest soften? Do your shoulders drop? That physical shift is your vibration changing.

Use this practice anytime you notice yourself slipping into scarcity thinking. It takes less than three minutes and completely resets your signal.

Embody It: Ground, Discover, Embody for Abundance (15 minutes)

For a guided version of this practice, try Prosperity Path to Abundance on our YouTube channel.

This deeper practice walks you through the complete VM Method, teaching you to embody abundance before it manifests physically.

What You’ll Need: A quiet space, 15 uninterrupted minutes, optional journal.

Part 1: Ground (5 minutes)

Settle into a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Begin to slow your breathing – inhaling for four counts, holding for four, exhaling for six. Feel the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you. Let go of anything that happened before this moment and anything that might happen after. Arrive fully here, in this breath, in this body. You don’t need to fix or change anything right now. Simply be present.

Part 2: Discover (5 minutes)

Now bring to mind an area of your life where you’re calling in abundance. Don’t think about the “how” – just the desire itself. A financial goal, a life change, an experience you want to have. Hold it gently. Then ask yourself: “If I had this, how would I feel?” Let the answer emerge naturally. Is it freedom? Security? Expansion? Joy? Peace? Get specific. Name the feeling. This feeling is what you’re actually seeking. The external thing is just one path to it.

Part 3: Embody (5 minutes)

Here’s where we practice the feeling before the manifestation. Without changing anything about your current circumstances, begin to feel that feeling now. Let it start small – maybe just a whisper of it. How would you sit if you already felt this way? How would you breathe? What would your face look like? Let your body shift into the posture of someone who already feels this. Stay here. Breathe here. This is who you are becoming. This is Conscious Light Manifestation in action.

Integration: Before you open your eyes, write down one sentence: “I am someone who feels [your feeling].” This is your embodiment anchor. Return to it throughout your day as a reminder that the feeling is available to you now – not someday, but now.

Common Questions About Manifesting Abundance

Your path to Conscious Light Manifestation

Financial abundance follows the same principles as any manifestation - it begins with your vibration, not your actions. Most people try to manifest money from a place of lack or desperation, which actually pushes it away. Instead, start by identifying how you want to feel when you have financial abundance. Is it freedom? Security? Generosity? Then practice feeling that emotion now, using what you already have. The VM Method - Ground, Discover, Embody - works beautifully for financial goals. Ground yourself in presence, discover the true feeling you're seeking, then embody that feeling before the money arrives.

When manifestations feel stuck, it's usually one of three things: resistance, timing, or vibration mismatch. Resistance means there's a limiting belief running underneath your desire - part of you doesn't fully believe you can have this, or believes you shouldn't. Timing means the universe is arranging things in ways you can't see yet. And vibration mismatch means you're wanting from a place of lack rather than embodying the feeling of already having. Check in with yourself honestly: when you think about your desire, do you feel excited and expectant, or anxious and desperate? The Emotional Guidance Scale can help you identify where you are and move up one notch at a time.

Doubt is natural - you don't need to eliminate it completely for manifestation to work. The goal isn't to feel 100% certain all the time; it's to have your predominant vibration be positive more often than not. When doubt arises, don't fight it or judge yourself for feeling it. Instead, acknowledge it gently and ask: "Can I find a thought that feels just a little bit better?" Sometimes doubt is actually information - it might be revealing a limiting belief that needs attention. Either way, the practice is the same: notice the doubt, don't make it wrong, and reach for a slightly better-feeling thought.

This is one of the most common manifestation paradoxes, and it confuses almost everyone. Detachment doesn't mean you stop wanting or stop caring - it means you release the desperate grip of needing it to be okay. You want it, you'd love for it to happen, AND you know you'll be okay either way. Think of it like planting a seed. You plant it with intention, you water it with your attention, but then you let it grow in its own time. You don't dig it up every day to check if it's working. True detachment is trusting the process while still tending the garden.

Limiting beliefs are deeply held assumptions about yourself, others, or the world that constrain what you think is possible. They often form in childhood and run so automatically that you don't even recognize them as beliefs - they just feel like "the way things are." Common examples include "money is hard to come by," "I'm not good enough," or "people like me don't get to have that." To identify your limiting beliefs, pay attention to your self-talk when something doesn't work out. Notice the "because" statements: "I didn't get the job because I'm not qualified enough." These reveal the underlying beliefs shaping your experience.
